Why Choose TryQRMint for This Solution

Custom-branded QR codes, editable dynamic links and clear scan analytics in one dashboard.

Channel, Open Chat or Kakao Profile

Pick the destination in the Studio, paste your link and we check it is an official Kakao address (such as pf.kakao.com or open.kakao.com) before the code is generated, so you never print a typo.

Branded for Print, Not a Screenshot

Use Kakao yellow (#FEE500) with dark modules, rounded dots, custom eyes, your own logo and a frame with a call to action such as '카카오톡 채널 추가'. Error correction rises automatically when a logo is added.

Editable Link and Scan Stats (Dynamic)

A dynamic code opens a small KakaoTalk page with your title and an 'Add Kakao Channel' or 'Join Open Chat' button. Swap the link later and see scans by country, city, device and OS.

Strategic KakaoTalk QR Applications

Explore how individuals, teams, and high-traffic brands put these QR codes to work.

Retail

Korean Beauty & Fashion Retailers

Put a counter sign next to the till in a Seoul boutique or a K-beauty pop-up so shoppers can add your Kakao Channel for restock alerts and coupons.

Gaming

Gaming & Esports Communities

Show an Open Chat QR code on a stream overlay or tournament banner so players can join the room for match schedules and team-ups.

Tourism

South Korea Travel & Tourism Venues

Give visitors a quick way to message your guesthouse, tour desk or rental counter on KakaoTalk instead of calling a local number.

Support

Customer Support & After-Sales Service

Print a Kakao Channel QR code on the warranty card inside the box so buyers can ask setup questions or start a return in chat.

Campus

Study Groups & University Clubs

Add an Open Chat QR code to campus flyers so new members join the club room with a nickname instead of swapping phone numbers.

Events

Pop-Up Cafes & Fan Club Events

Use a framed Open Chat code on cup-sleeve event posters so fans can join the event room for queue updates and photo sharing.

Built for Reliable Scanning

Technical Specifications & Print Standards

Standard QR codes (ISO/IEC 18004) that every modern smartphone camera can read. Print size, contrast and placement still matter, so test before printing.

Error Correction

Automatic: Level M, or Q with a logo

Reed-Solomon error correction is raised automatically when you add a logo, so up to ~25% of the code can be covered and still scan.

Dynamic Links

Editable After Printing

Dynamic codes point to a short TryQRMint link, so you can change the destination later without reprinting.

Export Resolutions

PNG (all plans) + SVG (Pro & Business)

PNG exports start at 512 px; vector SVG scales cleanly for posters, packaging and large signage.

Secure Links

HTTPS Short Links

Dynamic codes open over HTTPS, and links with script-capable schemes are blocked when you save a code.

Scan Telemetry

Scan Analytics for Dynamic Codes

Total and unique scans, country, city, device, OS, browser, referrer and scans over time.

Quiet Zone Standard

Adjustable Margin

Set the white border around your code; keep at least a 4-module quiet zone when placing it on busy designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes for static codes. A free account lets you save up to 10 static QR codes and download them as PNG, with no credit card. Dynamic KakaoTalk codes (editable link and scan analytics) come with a 7-day trial for up to 2 codes; after that they need a Pro or Business plan to keep redirecting.

A static code holds your Kakao link itself, so the phone opens it directly: KakaoTalk if it is installed, otherwise Kakao's web page in the browser (Kakao decides exactly what is shown). A dynamic code first opens a TryQRMint page with your title, a 'Kakao Channel' or 'Kakao Open Chat' label, your main button and a 'Copy Kakao Link' button.

Official Kakao addresses only: a Kakao Channel link (pf.kakao.com/_xxxx), an Open Chat link (open.kakao.com/o/xxxx) or another kakao.com link for a profile. A phone number or Kakao ID on its own will not work, because KakaoTalk has no public link for those.

The QR code inside KakaoTalk works well for adding someone face to face, but you cannot recolor it, add your logo or frame, export a vector file, swap the link later or count scans. A generated code is better for signs, packaging and flyers. Our guide on how to get your KakaoTalk QR code explains where the in-app code lives.

Only with a dynamic code. You can change the Kakao link, title or button text from your dashboard while your trial or paid plan is active, which helps if an Open Chat link is reset. A static code cannot be edited, but it never expires.

No. The QR code shown when you sign in to KakaoTalk on a PC is a short-lived login code issued by Kakao, and no outside tool can make one. TryQRMint makes permanent QR codes that lead people to your Channel or Open Chat.
